With 26 years’ professional experience as a Royal Air Force Director of Music the last 7 years as the Principal Director of Music responsible for all Royal Air Force musical output, Duncan is a highly experienced and highly regarded Director of Music. Commissioning and proactive concert generation has led to close collaborations with leading UK musicians including Nigel Hess, George Fenton, Philip Sparke and leading West End Theatre Music Directors Stuart Morley and Mike Dixon. He has directed a wide variety of wind and brass ensembles and orchestras including; UK Music Conservatoires ensembles, county youth bands and community bands and all of the Royal Air Force established bands. As a published composer he enjoys writing for brass and wind groups with pieces often tailored to individual bands requirements. A highly motivated and passionate musician who relishes the challenge of working with musicians of all standards, inspiring and getting the best out of the musicians through strong musical leadership and a sincere enjoyment of musical performance. “….
